Celtic 0-1 Norwich

All the latest premier league gossip and transfers

Norwich CAPTAIN Grant Holt's strike in the 89th minute sealed a 1-0 win at Parkhead for The Canaries in their first pre-season match under new manager Chris Hughton.

In a some what close encounter, Grant Holt finished off a great Norwich City attack by pouncing on a loose ball inside Celtic's penalty area after goalkeeper Fraser Forster could only parry Jonny Howson's superb effort.

Both teams had numerous chances over the 90 minutes with City's James Vaughan and Anthony Pilkington going close and Celtic's Kris Commons and Mikael Lustig striking the crossbar, but it was Holt who finally nicked it.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton gave a run-out to a number of his available players-fielding different teams in each half of an entertaining game at Parkhead aided by a superb atmosphere created by both sets of fans.
